While this little volume is not a history, perhaps you'll enjoy it for what it is. It deals with a collection of interesting events and people. Nearly all of the following pages appeared on the back cover of the Central Territory's edition of The Daily Walk over a period of 11 years.
Paul Marshall has tried to highlight historical Army events and facts from Salvation Army books and periodicals, where such items appear once and often are never seen again. Another source has been from personal experience and observations, and from acquaintanceship with Salvationists, some of whose careers went "a long way back."
The fact is the book contains at least a couple of rather humorous stories "told out of school" by officers who served in high places. But their stories are illustrations of the fact that we're all human, from the General on down!
This book also highlights the many distinguished Salvationists who have been admitted to the Order of the Founder. Every American who has been thus honored has his or her place in these pages.
