Band Music for Evangelism
Edited by Dr. Dorothy Gates
Preface
This edition of the American Band Journal features a selection of highly useful repertoire for brass band and brass soloist. Long-time ABJ contributor, Major Thomas Mack, honors Hempstead, NY Citadel with the march Shout Out! while James Cheyne's regal and poignant work, And They Were Heroes, honors lives served and lost on September 11, 2001. The journal is complete with two gorgeous solos for brass soloist, Dr. Harold Burgmayer's setting, Nothing but Thy Blood and Stephen Bulla's exquisite arrangement of the Lloyd Scott melody, Commitment.
It is a pleasure to commend to you this fine band music for evangelism.
