Band Music for Evangelism
Edited by Dr. Dorothy Gates
Preface
This 2005 Christmas Edition of the American Band Journal features a selection of highly useful repertoire for brass band and brass soloist. Well known American composer Paul Curnow offers a delightfully accessible march entitled The Festive Season while Michael Babb's charming trombone solo, To Bethlehem, will be highly useful for both established and developing soloist. We welcome first-time ABK contributor Noel Brooks with a splendid arrangement, Born for You, and know many subscribers will enjoy ABJ editor and NYSB composer-in-residence, Dorothy Gates' superb arrangement of John Rutter's Shepherd's Pipe Carol.
It is a pleasure to commend to you this fine band music for the season.
