Band Music for Evangelism
Edited by Kevin Norbury
PrefaceThe birth of Christ has been the inspiration for many composers through the ages so that there is an enormous amount of repertoire to celebrate the Christmas season.
Even so, the annual Christmas issue of the American Band Journal has become popular with bands around the world because of the guarantee of fresh arrangements that are practical in terms of requirements, yet meaningful and exciting to the listener.
With this issue, we welcome Andrew Blyth as a first-time contributor to the journal with his fine arrangement of Prokofiev's Troika (from Lt. Kije suite) along with musical gems from Kevin Norbury and David Catherwood.
