Band Music for Evangelism
Edited by Dr. Dorothy Gates
PrefaceFinding new music for Christmas can be a challenge. In this issue of the American Band Journal, conductors will discover new and fresh arrangements to enhance any program.
Major Thomas Mack's understanding of this journal makes his two contributions "sure things" and "Instantly playable." Dorothy Gates' solo for piccolo trumpet, "Gloria in Excelsis Deo" offers somethings that will broaden the scope of Christmas solo literature. Stephen Bulla's "Niño Lindo" presents lovely music from Venezuela as well as a challenge that will be worth the work.
Christmas is a time to celebrate. Enjoy the celebration with this new journal of music.
God bless you.
