Band Music for Evangelism
Edited by Brian Bowen
PrefaceThe American Band Journal, from its inception, has attempted to provide bands with music for evangelism. This issue is particularly successful with styles of music that have wide appeal.
Brian Bowen's arrangement of "Amen, Amen!" is clever, well-crafted and holds interest for both players and listeners. Terry Camsey's and William Gordon's arrangements from the contemporary Christian music culture will prove useful to bands looking to reach a wider audience. William Himes' 'country' version of "Bringing in the Sheaves" will find its place among other spirited accompaniments for congregational singing.
We are grateful to Brian Bowen for editing this issue of the American Band Journal.
