Band Music for Evangelism
Edited by James Curnow
PrefaceWith this issue of the American Band Journal we introduce a new Editor and a new Music Publications Assistant for the Eastern Territory.
We are pleased that James Curnow has been appointed Editor for Eastern Territory Music Publications. His expertise will enhance our publications and assure a continued excellence in our production. His compositions are well known throughout the world and have brought blessing to many people.
Working closely with the Editor will be Aaron VanderWeele, Music Publications Assistant of the Eastern Territorial Music Department.
Aaron VanderWeele is the Euphonium Soloist with the New York Staff Band, and will bring great enthusiasm to his new position.
The items selected for this issue are intended to be used for a variety of occasions. The programming of "Climb Ev'ry Mountain" would be most appropriate in music festivals and not in Sunday worship services.
